Lilypie - Personal pictureLilypie Waiting to Adopt tickers
We receive our referral information by Fedex today. That sneaky little Fedex guy dropped off the envelope without me knowing he was there...so I didn't get a photo of that...oh well..

We signed all the paperwork and sent it to our agency. I also took care of sending out a care package for Mia..
Now we just have to wait for TA (Travel Approval)..I hope it doesn't take too long.. :0)

Oh yeah, we originally were told she was in an orphanage, but it turns out that she has been in foster care..I am really happy with that....I feel so much better knowing that she has someone to really care for her and love her...I am a little torn up about having to take her away from that....the only family she has known in her young life...

She is an adorable little dumpling isn't she. Rich and I love her to pieces already...Can't wait to meet her. I hope she likes us too!

Wow! You are on top of the sending the care package and everything. Did you learn about the foster family before you sent your package? Did you send anything for them? I agonized over what to send to them. I wonder what you decided.
I think it's fsbulous that Mia is in foster care. Try your darndest to find everything you can about them. I hope for continued contact for Mia and foster family.

QJ,

I did not know about Mia being in foster care before I sent the care package. So I feel kinda bad about not sending something for them.
I probably will either send something else out, or bring them gifts when I travel...What did you send them? I asked my social worker if gifts were appropriate and she said yes.

China Adoption Sites said...

Hi Jen,

I run a site called China Adoption Sites. Not sure if you are familiar with it or not, but it tracks blogs/sites of people adopting/adopted from China. Our new advertiser, Grant from Chinese for Parents wants to offer a free membership to his site to 5 families waiting to travel that are listed at China Adoption Sites. Please check out his site and see if it's something you are interested in. It looks like a great way to prepare for parents to meet their new child in China. If you would like it, please let me know at chinaadoptionsites at gmaildotcom and I will put you in touch with Grant right away!

Thanks!

Diana

Wow Jenny! You sent a care package already! We weren't given the SWI address by our agency and had to find it ourselves. That was really hard. Then we out a package together in a shoe box and sent it. You sent cameras right??????? You are so speedy. Gosh, it's almost like you've been waiting for this moment....;-)
