Well, this was a fun little excercise, one I plan on NOT repeating next year, lol. I was interested on what else had happened on this date in history. Some great things happened and some...ummm...not so great things... Interesting to read that even though we waited, time moved forward and history was being made...
On a lighter note, I ordered new curtains for Mia's room, YEAH! They are SOOO cute and I can't wait for them to come in. I am really itching to finish her room, but I am afraid of jinxing myself. My dh bought a crib the day we found out we were logged in with CCAA...and now it's three years later....I'm just sayin.... :o)

Yes, next year this date will just be a memory. You will be celebrating other milestones, girl. A little closer every day.

I should get the curtains late this week or early next week. It took me so long to find something I liked, I mean this caused major stress, go figure, lol. Then yesterday I was on the Target website and there they were! I am taking it as a sign. Of what, I am not sure yet..
I promise pictures!!! Hold me to that, lol.
jenny wow i think it is great that you are getting close to that date you will be getting your child. I have been following your comments and I am glad things are working out. I hope the journey ends soon so that you can bring Mia home soon.
I saw you post on RQ today. Thank you for the uplifting and kind words. You guys are so close - it is incredible to read through families blogs such as yours to see that you can endure the wait. And as someone stated above - this time next year you will still be celebrating.
Recipe for enduring the wait:
