Lilypie - Personal pictureLilypie Waiting to Adopt tickers
That is what Mia got from her first doctor's visit yesterday. She felt fine last night, although she was a little fussy thru out the night. This morning she woke up later than usual and with the fever. It was 100.8 this morning, with a dose of Tylenol it's down to 99.4. We are trying to get her to drink some water and juice. She is really new at that, I think the consistancy of the water throws her off some, she isn't used to it. She also ate some pears and cheerios, but she doesn't seem to be digging her bottle, maybe her ears are bothering her too. Sure would be nice if babies could talk, lol.

Do you think the shots caused the fever? 100.8 is considered a low grade. I was told 101 and higher is when it's truly a fever. I hope she feels better soon.
Do you know the plan for keeping a fever in check? I only learned it when Roma had a very high fever. Motrin dose, wait 3 hours, take temp, if still high then Tylenol dose, repeat every three hours.

I didn't know that Jacqui, Thanks!!

When she woke up from her nap, it was down to 98.7, so it's almost normal, I am betting that it was her teeth, though she has been teething for a while now and this is her first fever...

Hey Jen!
so glad I found your blog! glad to hear you guys are doing well- don't worry about the temp- kids usually get a low grade fever with shots- just give her some motrin!

we sure did enjoy getting to know you guys in China! hope we can stay in touch!

Dear Jen,
Welcome to motherhood.Sometimes babies get ear infection when they are teething. So keep a eye on her if she pulls at her ears. Well good luck. Also what did the doctor have to say about your daughter? Anything that he is concern with?

Jen, no worries about the fever. A shot will more than likely cause a low grade fever.

Weird message above mine, huh?
